What is Lash Extensions?

This is the application of premium quality, individual, synthetic lashes that are placed one by one directly onto your own natural lashes to create a thicker and longer look.

At Perfect Elegance we use Lash Perfect Eyelash Extensions which are designed to be indistinguishable in size and weight to human lashes. They are flexible yet crimp-resistant, and they move with your natural lashes. As long as you keep up with the touch-up applications, it is almost impossible to tell that you are wearing the extensions.

Eyelash Extensions are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. Our lashes are thicker at the base and taper to a fine point. The lashes are waterproof and available in different lengths and curls to create any look to your desire.

There is no direct contact to the skin and so should not cause any reaction or irritation. **extremely sensitive skins may need a patch test. Please speak to a member of our team if you think you may be highly sensitive.

How is it done?

Over 80 individual lashes are applied to each eye, the final amount depends upon the size and shape of your eyes along with what type of look is to be achieved( natural or glamorous).

We will focus on designing and shaping the entire lash line using different size lashes to create your individual look.

How long will it take to apply Eyelash Extensions and how is it done?

The application process for lash extensions normally takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. An under eye pad will be used to cover your lower lashes and then the extensions will be applied to each individual eyelash on a hair by hair basis.

How long do they last for?

Your own lashes shed naturally and new ones continue to grow in a replenishing cycle. We naturally shed 4-10 lashes from each eye over a two week period.
The lash extensions will last as long as the cycle of your natural lash.

Touch ups are recommended to keep your lashes tip top at all times. We recommend top ups every 2-4 weeks depending on your individual (you have over 50% of your lashes remaining for it to be counted as a top up.) *Your after care will affect how long your lashes last.

Can I still wear makeup?

Absolutely, yes! You will find, though, that you will no longer need mascara and we recommend that you do not use waterproof mascara as this can break down the adhesive and cause premature loss of your lash extensions.

If your wear makeup it is important to use 100% oil free makeup remover. We offer a full range of retail products specifically designed to work with lash extensions for you to purchase to ensure you can look after your lashes in the best way you can at home.

Can I shower and swim?

Yes, but you should avoid direct contact with water during the initial 24 hours after having lash extensions applied, after this time they will be completely waterproof.
If possible avoid direct contact with the jets of the shower and wear goggles for swimming.

How do I look after my new lash extensions?

• Do not get lashes wet for the initial 24hour after application including top ups.
• Avoid hot steam or sauna
• Avoid running water directly onto lashes
• Avoid rubbing your eyes
• Use 100% oil free makeup remover
• Do not perm lashes
• Do not use mechanical eyelash curlers
• Do not pull on your lashes( this may cause premature loss of lashes)
• Avoid sleeping on your face/lashes
• Apply moisturiser and foundation carefully avoiding the lashes
